LET'S START WITH ENVISIONING IT!
Dersaadet:
The Door to Happiness
isn’t just a novel; it is a compelling story that takes you to a whole new world, a world we have never seen before, and dares you to believe in a peaceful future.
Meet Saadet, a 44-year-old woman feeling trapped in her corporate job, torn between her ambitions and her family's expectations.
In a parallel universe—where World Wars I and II never occurred, and society is “advanced” in ways we can only imagine—she’s a groundbreaking scientist, but a project gone wrong switches her life with her other self.
Dersaadet was the historical name of Istanbul, meaning "The Door to Happiness." Here, it represents not only a city but a vision of a world where all beings thrive in harmony.
Is world peace impossible, or is it inevitable?
Is war a part of human nature, or entirely unnecessary?
Are the world’s misfortunes our destiny, or just absurd?
Dive into this compelling story that challenges our understanding of life and our collective destiny, embarking on a journey that will make you question established beliefs.
All wars start and end at negotiation tables but are often orchestrated so taxpayers won’t question the massive resources directed to arms production. War, often romanticized, must be globally banned, as it fundamentally represent a spectrum of crimes, including environmental destruction, organ trafficking, human trafficking, historical artifact smuggling, large-scale loss of life and significant contributions to the climate crisis. .
The European Union, once a region of conflict, demonstrates that unity can transform nations. While some may think "world peace is impossible," the EU's success shows that cooperation among countries leads to prosperity and stability. By working together, people can establish a model for a World Union focused on peace and collective well-being. This global alliance can tackle significant challenges like climate change, economic inequality, and humanitarian crises, proving that while achieving world peace may seem daunting, it is attainable through collaboration. Together, we can find solutions to humanity's common problems.
Embracing concepts like Gaia, which emphasize the interconnectedness of life on Earth, we must perceive all humanity as a single body. To foster human progress, it is essential to eliminate national borders, similar to the European Union, and adopt a global citizenship system. By recognizing that each of us is vital to the well-being of the whole, we must begin to work for the good of every individual. This aligns with the principle of "all for one, one for all."
Each year, $22.5 trillion is spent on war worldwide. If this amount were equally distributed among the 8 billion people on Earth, it would result in an annual stipend of $2,800 per person, ensuring that no one is left behind. Investing in humanity yields far greater benefits than perpetuating conflict. By establishing a Global Citizenship Stipend Fund, we can redirect these resources toward fostering peace, promoting social equity, and supporting the United Nations Sustainability Goals.
Instead of direct cash transfers, which may not reach their full potential, we propose the World Peace Economic Model. This would ensure that all people globally receive basic needs annually, from natural food and healthcare to education and even a world tour experience. A suggested distribution:
A lifetime of guaranteed support, from birth to grave.
Most know the devastation of the two nuclear bombs dropped on Japan—damage to humans, nature, and the environment that persists to this day. Yet few realize that 2,400 additional nuclear bombs have been detonated globally "in the name of testing." In an age of green economy and environmental responsibility, we must recognize the war industry as the #1 polluter worldwide.
War is a waste of time, effort, resources, money and most important of all, a waste of world’s human resources.
Including over 70,000 nuclear weapons produced to date, which cause nothing but harm, all resources used in preparation for war are the greatest waste of all.
We can achieve 15 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations simply by ending wars.
How, you ask?
If the budgets allocated for warfare and the illicit funds associated with conflicts were distributed equitably among the global population, there would be no hunger and no poverty left in the world.
With countless warplanes, tanks, bombs, and ammunition at our disposal, we often find ourselves powerless in the face of environmental crises like forest fires. This contradiction underscores the urgent need to shift our focus from militarization to environmental protection. By redirecting resources from warfare to sustainable solutions, we can better address the pressing challenges posed by climate change and safeguard our planet's future.
Continuing this tradition is a mistake we perpetuate. But unlike those before us, we now have the technology and global awareness to set the stage for lasting world peace.
For past generations, abolishing war may have seemed impossible. Today, we have the opportunity to enact a global law and
legally declare war a crime,
shift toward a global citizenship system,
leverage technology, and reshape our systems to foster a peaceful world.
